December was time for the last Thirsty Thursdays of the year. Sadly, it was also Crystals last drinks as she is relocating back to Korea by end December. Predictably, there was a lot of discussion about the financial crisis and where things might be going, but with no clear conclusions other than "it looks bad and no-one knows how/when it will end..."
The menu at the Pump Room has been revamped, which provided a welcome change with some interesting new choices but higher prices (no sign of deflation here!!!).
The date for the next drinks has not been fixed. With New Year and Chinese New Year means January might not be a good month to host the next event.., so it'll probably be in February... so watch out for this space for more updates regarding the next event.
Overall, the group has had a productive year so far. There were many new faces, exciting dicussions and great networking. As we approach the new year, we hope to build and strenghten the group with new ideas and new initiatives.
